<p>Description / Position Overview</p> <ul> <li>Open until filled. </li></ul> <p>SEASONAL - Parks Maintenance Worker SIMD (PT Maintenance Support)</p> <p>About this Job: In this position, you will assist with the maintenance of medians, rights-of-way, and parks for either Briargate, Norwood, or Stetson Hills SIMD.</p> <p>Job Type: Seasonal</p> <p>Work Schedule: Normal hours worked will be Monday through Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Schedule may include some weekends and holidays.</p> <p>This is a seasonal (at-will) position with benefits limited to those required by applicable state and federal laws, which include Worker's Compensation, Medicare, Unemployment Insurance, and PERA (Public Employees' Retirement Association).</p> <p>Approximate dates of employment will be May through September. Scheduled hours will vary based on department needs. Total hours worked will not exceed 1,500 annually.</p> <p>As a Parks Maintenance Worker - SIMD, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Mow, trim, weed, aerate, seed, top dress, edge, and rake </li><li>Maintain and repair irrigation systems </li><li>Pick up trash </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment such as trucks, trailers, riding and push mowers, and tractors </li><li>Ability to safely operate hand tools </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Have landscape or facility maintenance experience </li><li>Possess, or obtain upon hire, and maintain a valid, non-probationary Colorado driver's license not subject to restrictions. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience working with irrigation systems </li><li>Specialized training in landscaping or grounds maintenance </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Physical Demands: The ability to stand, sit, stoop, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 60 pounds occasionally is also required.</p> <p>Environmental Conditions: This position requires working outside in all weather conditions and along high traffic areas.</p>
