<p>SHUTTLE CAR OPERATOR</p> <p>Essential Duties/Responsibilities:</p> <p>Performs all duties and activities in a manner that conforms to site specific safety requirements, company policy, state and federal regulations.</p> <ul> <li>Visually check shuttle car, check roadways (ribs, top, obstructions or people) </li><li>Install or relocate shuttle car anchor point as needed. </li><li>Tram to miner, load shuttle car, and return to dumping point. </li><li>Help move miner from place to place, getting cable out of roadway, help hang miner cable. </li></ul> <p>Other Duties/Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform other duties as required. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of section mining cycle. </li><li>Hand, foot, eye coordination (similar to operating automobile). </li><li>Know the Safe Job Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, company safety policies, and applicable rules and regulations. </li></ul> <p>Working Environment/Physical Activities:</p> <ul> <li>This position requires the operator to possess the dexterity (refer to Physical Abilities) to work and operate machinery and equipment in a coal seam height that varies. The operator must constantly be attentive to the changing geological conditions and surrounding environment. </li></ul> <p>Education, Qualifications and Training:</p> <ul> <li>Underground coal miner's certificate </li><li>Annual 8 hour refresher training </li><li>On-the-job experience </li><li>Vocation training (optional) </li><li>Other qualifications as required by contract, regulations, and/or management </li></ul>
