Login to your Workday Account and Find Internal Career Opportunities through the Internal Portal.</p> <p>Job Description Summary</p> <p>This role involves coordinating and fostering student leadership for all major events organized by the Student Life Department, including managing the student engagement calendar. The primary focus will be on guiding and mentoring students in planning, scheduling, and executing meaningful events for both in-person and online students. This position is also responsible for providing administrative advising to student groups, ensuring that their events align with college objectives and departmental goals. A flexible work schedule is required, including evenings and weekends for functions, events, and training sessions.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Essential Functions and Responsibilities</p> <p>The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily to be qualified for the position. Other duties may be required and assigned.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Receive and review reports and referrals for student behavioral and well-being concerns and alleged violations of the FVTC Student Code of Conduct Policy. Perform the initial research and determines and/or follows appropriate processes or responses for a variety of situations, including but not limited to Title IX, BIT (Behavioral Intervention Team) response to students in distress or experiencing trauma, and students who may pose a threat to themselves or others. Makes case decisions and communicates decisions and outcomes to students and employees as appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate to manage the Student Code of Conduct and adjudicate student conduct violations and participate in the campus conduct process. Uphold behavioral expectations through investigations, serving as a key member of the BIT Team and partnering with key stakeholders (e.g., Campus Safety & Security, Campus Support Services, and other faculty and staff) to manage unsafe and/or disruptive student behavior. Utilize available software programs (e.g. Workday, and Maxient) to document all communication about misconduct and access/analyze student data.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide direction to students and reporters from inception to the resolution of an incident, uphold students' rights and responsibilities within the student conduct process and the campus community, and assist students in navigating college grievance and appeal processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop an intervention/response plan for student support and direct the implementation of the plan through a resolution that may involve referring students to appropriate services, on and/or off campus. Identify community resources and establish collaborative partnerships with internal and external partners.</p> </li><li> <p>In collaboration with the Student Life team, coordinate and deliver student activities and programming at the Oshkosh Riverside campus, regional and training centers.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in the assessment of Student Life events for which the position is responsible to ensure that stated outcomes are being met and that services align with College mission</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in the development and delivery of training to faculty and staff on how to respond to student behavioral concerns, including classroom management, best practices/trends around mental health, and policies and procedures (including local, state, and federal law).</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in the development and delivery of annual programming around alcohol, drug, food, and housing awareness.</p> </li><li> <p>Support College efforts to ensure compliance with Federal and State laws including, but not limited to, the Clery Act, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Title IX, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), and Drug Free Schools and Community Act (DFSCA) and serve as the co-chair and case manager for the campus BIT Team.</p> </li><li> <p>Complete disciplinary records and reference checks for transfer, employment, educational licensure, or other purposes.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain current professional and technical knowledge in the field through professional education and activities.</p> </li></ul> <p>Non-Essential Functions and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide assistance with promotion of campus events and marketing of the department.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide assistance to fellow team members as needed to support the overall mission of Student Life.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Education and/or Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field (i.e. Criminal Justice, Business, Higher Education Administration, Psychology, Social Work), AND</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated professional experience in College Student Services required, preferably in Student Life, Student Development, and/or Student Conduct.</p> </li></ul> <p>Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Requires valid Driver's License.</p> </li><li> <p>Subject to FVTC's Motor Vehicle Records Disclosure Check.</p> </li></ul> <p>In evaluating candidates for this position, Fox Valley Technical College may consider a combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position.</p> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Work must be completed in person. </li></ul> <p>Work environment may change based upon college needs.</p> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Sitting: This role requires extended periods of sitting while performing tasks and utilizing computer systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Mobility: While much of the work is desk-based, occasional mobility may be necessary for attending meetings, office tours, or events within the workplace.</p> </li><li> <p>Lifting and Carrying: The role requires occasional/continuous lifting and carrying of light to moderate items.</p> </li><li> <p>Climbing: Capability to climb stairs or ladders, if applicable to the job.</p> </li><li> <p>Fine Motor Skills: This role may need precise hand movements or manual dexterity for activities such as typing or using technology like computers.</p> </li><li> <p>Repetitive Motions: Capacity to perform repetitive motions, such as typing, without discomfort or injury.</p> </li><li> <p>Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with employees, students, and stakeholders, both in-person and through electronic means.</p> </li><li> <p>Travel: Position may require travel to multiple campuses, stores, or travel for professional development.</p> </li><li> <p>Driving: Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle, if driving is a requirement of the position.</p> </li></ul> <p>EOE/ADA Statement</p> <p>Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
