<p>SBN - 3rd Engineer Officer</p> <p>Department: Technical</p> <p>Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract</p> <p>Location: Global</p> <p>Reporting To: Chief Engineer</p> <p>Description</p> <p>The 3rd Engineer assist in the maintenance and operations of the Engine Room and Shipboard systems.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintains assigned systems as per AMOS and company regulations. </li><li>Is in charge of operation, maintenance and repairs of the machinery assigned to his watch. </li><li>Ensure that assigned logs are completed on a daily basis. </li><li>Responsible for the cleanliness and "housekeeping" of all assigned equipment, areas, and spaces. </li><li>Ensure the spare parts inventory for assigned areas is up to date. </li><li>If conditions occur that can threaten the safety or operation of the vessel, the Chief Engineer must be promptly notified. </li><li>Assist the Electrical Department with the upkeep of Automation for assigned equipment. </li><li>Ensure that assigned crew understands assigned tasks. </li><li>To be familiar with and execute the Seabourn HESS-MS appropriate to their position. </li><li>Other duties as assigned by the 1st Engineer. </li></ul> <p>Skills, Knowledge & Expertise</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Engineering Officer of the Watch issued or recognized by vessel's flag state. </li><li>Completed cadetship, preferable on deep sea trade vessels. </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>1-2 years of experience on deep sea trade vessels preferred </li><li>Experience as a 2nd or 3rd Engineer preferred. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>OOW Engineering Watchkeeping (STCW Regulation III/1) (Valid 5 yrs) </li><li>Bahamian Endorsement of National Marine License (Valid 5 yrs) </li><li>ERM with CSMART (STCW Section B VIII/2) </li><li>ERM 2 with CSMART </li><li>Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (STCW Regulation VI/2) (Valid 5 yrs) </li><li>Crisis Management (STCW Section A-V/3) (Valid 5 yrs) </li><li>Advanced Fire Fighting (STCW Regulation VI/3) </li><li>Security Awareness (STCW Section A-VI/6) </li><li>Basic Safety Training (STCW Section A-VI/1-4) </li><li>High Voltage Management Level (STCW Reg. III/ 2&3) req. from Jan 1, 2017 </li><li>Safety Familiarization and Crowd Management (STCW A-V/3) </li></ul>
