<p>Kforce's client, a publicly traded Financial Services company located in a State-of-the-Art office in Northern, NJ is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. They provide a hybrid working environment and generous benefits.</p> <p>Key Tasks:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for maintaining general ledger account balances, in conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) </li><li>Staff Accountant will prepare accurate monthly financial reports and accounting summaries </li><li>Examines accounting documents for accuracy and ensures compliance with policies and procedures and accounting standards </li><li>Analyzes general ledger account balances and compiles financial information </li><li>Develops financial and managerial accounting information </li><li>Assists in preparation of accounting reports and reconciliations </li><li>Suggests new accounting procedures and recommends improvements </li><li>Determines expenses for services and distributes costs </li><li>As a Staff Accountant, you will maintain and reconcile certain general ledger accounts </li><li>Applies applicable accounting and reporting rules, and statutory regulations </li><li>Records financial transactions in accordance with GAAP </li><li>Prepares financial reports for financial analysis regarding account status </li><li>All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting </li><li>1-3 years of financial accounting experience </li><li>Familiarity with laws and regulations that apply to accounting and compliance </li></ul>
