We look forward to meeting you.</p> <p>The Role</p> <p>HII Operations and Advanced Technology group is hiring a Manager in the Arlington, VA office to shape enterprise priorities and lead high-impact strategy and operational improvement efforts across HII. Specific job duties include:</p> <ul> <li>Partner with business unit leadership to diagnose complex strategic and operational issues, develop actionable recommendations, and support program execution </li><li>Lead high-priority initiatives including operational transformations, manufacturing scale-up, and growth strategy development within HII's business units </li><li>Support the unmanned and autonomous systems portfolios on topics such as operating model design, execution improvement, capability development, and strategic prioritization </li><li>Design and implement HII's standard production system by partnering with operations leaders at the program, site, and enterprise levels </li><li>Build executive-ready analyses, recommendations, and presentations to support C-suite and board-level decision making and alignment </li><li>Support the Enterprise Advanced Technology roadmap, including robotics, automation, additive manufacturing, AI, and other manufacturing technologies </li><li>Partner with HII's divisions to lead enterprise-wide advanced technology and Industry 4.0 transformation initiatives </li></ul> <p>Must Have</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; OR</p> <p>Master's Degree and 6 years of relevant experience</p> <p>Nice to Have</p> <ul> <li>Prior consulting or investment banking experience </li><li>Manufacturing and/or logistics experience </li><li>Familiarity with high-complexity / defense manufacturing or shipbuilding is a plus </li><li>Capable of building alignment, trust, and momentum across large groups of people, from skilled craftspeople to executive leadership </li><li>Familiarity with unmanned systems, autonomous technologies, or operational transformation is a plus </li><li>Comfort creating structure from ambiguity, applying first principles problem-solving, and moving quickly with imperfect data </li><li>Exceptional communication skills </li></ul> <p>Why HII</p> <p>We build the world's most powerful, survivable naval ships and defense technology solutions that safeguard our seas, sky, land, space and cyber.
