<p>BASIC FUNCTIONS</p> <ol> <li> <p>Perform supply operation including preparation and setup of raw materials, soap stock and equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Operate the amalgamators and supporting equipment of the production line and produce soap at the specified quantity and quality levels.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain product quality standards by observation, sampling and operating equipment necessary to monitor product quality. Take any necessary corrective action.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain the necessary production accounting records and reports to include batch card, process control, quality and loss factor rates.</p> </li><li> <p>Properly package, count and document all supplies to be returned to inventory or scrapped.</p> </li><li> <p>Comply with procedures, methods, and standards in adherence with Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP).</p> </li><li> <p>Duties relevant to the basic function.</p> </li></ol> <p>BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>A. BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Characteristics of soap bases and raw materials, including moisture levels, additives and techniques for incorporating theses additives into the final product. </li><li>Operating details of the production processing equipment. </li><li>Operating details of the product handling equipment. </li><li>General knowledge of soap converting equipment, stamping and packaging equipment and finished product handling equipment. </li><li>Understanding of quality parameters as they relate to finished product. </li><li>Feedback is essential to good performance. Two-way communication is encouraged between Manager and Operator on a continuing basis. </li><li>Maintain an acceptable level of orderliness and cleanliness in areas of assigned work. </li><li>Understanding of and adherence to machine safety. </li></ul> <p>B. QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Experience Requirements: Previous experience in a processing environment with exposure to machinery.</p> <p>Education and License Requirements: High school education with diploma or be able to demonstrate knowledge consistent with that level of education.</p> <p>Physical Working Conditions (Physical Capacities): Capable of normal standing activities and moderate to heavy lifting. Exposure to mild noise (machinery) and some mild nuisance dust. Climate conditions are consistent with those of a normal manufacturing environment.</p>
