The selected candidate will assist the Nurse Manager in the overall administrative direction for the clinical and operational practice of nursing and delivery of patient care within Endoscopy department. And we offer two different mechanisms for planning for your retirement, a 403(b) and a defined contribution plan.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Participates in hiring, promotion, salary adjustment, and termination decisions.</p> <p>Functions as a highly visible role model, demonstrating quality expertise and professional behaviors which support professional development of staff and the strategic goals of ChristianaCare.</p> <p>Identifies and develops strategies to improve the overall knowledge base and integrity of staff.</p> <p>Directs, mentors and supports all level of staff. Enables a Relationship-Based care approach to care delivery within the perioperative environment.</p> <p>Identifies potential future leaders and engages in succession planning.</p> <p>Performs routine rounds on patients and caregivers within the perioperative areas to establish visibility, teamwork, and monitoring of practice.</p> <p>Participates in staffing as a caregiver based on needs of the clinical or operational area and patient acuity.</p> <p>Analyzes administrative and operational functions; implements appropriate changes and system wide improvements.</p> <p>Develops, implements, and monitors performance improvement and patient safety initiatives.</p> <p>Assures efficient utilization of resources, caregivers, instrumentation, supplies, and equipment.</p> <p>Coordinates daily assignments according to patient acuity and caregiver skillset and reassigns caregivers as needed</p> <p>Supports and facilitates a culture of nursing professional governance and mentor's unit committee/council chairs.</p> <p>Facilitates cooperative and collaborative relationships among other ChristianaCare departments, inpatient care areas, physicians, and others as needed.</p> <p>Participates in preparation of annual capital and operating budget.</p> <p>Supports the department leadership team in organizing and prioritizing capital needs.</p> <p>Assists in the analysis of monthly expenditures and develops plans to offset variances in partnership with manager.</p> <p>Identifies new program and service opportunities for the department</p> <p>Acts as a liaison with other hospital departments to enhance program development and improve clinical perfection.</p> <p>Develops and maintains methods to ensure patient, employee and physician happiness</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Graduate of an accredited school of nursing</p> <p>Completed Bachelor's degree in Nursing.</p> <p>Master's Degree in a nursing, healthcare or business management field required or currently enrolled to be obtained within 5 years of promotion into position.</p> <p>lf no BSN, Master's degree in nursing is required.</p> <p>5 years appropriate clinical and leadership experience in area or specialty</p> <p>BLS Certification</p> <p>ACLS, TNCC, PALS certifications as related to practice area</p> <p>Professional certification in a related nursing specialty required</p> <p>Current nursing licensure in the State of Delaware or compact state</p> <p>Post End Date</p> <p>May 25, 2025</p> <p>EEO Posting Statement</p> <p>Christiana Care Health System is an equal opportunity employer, firmly committed to prohibiting discrimination, whose staff is reflective of its community, and considers qualified applicants for open positions without regard to race, color, sex, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender identity or expression, age, veteran status, disability, pregnancy, citizenship status, or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state, or local law.</p>
