<p>Position Summary</p> <p>The staff accountant is responsible for the compilation of financial data, payroll data, and assisting the CFO with various assignments and projects.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Functions</p> <ul> <li>Under the general supervision of the VP Finance, performs general cost accounting, payroll functions, maintains accounting records, and other related duties in daily administration of accounting department. </li><li>Maintains general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, account analysis and reconciliation, closing books monthly, and setting up new accounts </li><li>Performs bank reconciliation monthly, verifies all deposits, and addresses questions and problems from bank institutions </li><li>Maintains payroll to include maintenance of records and processing paychecks. </li><li>Maintains accounting records of fixed assets </li><li>Assists outside auditors at year-end to include preparing schedules, invoices, providing explanation of supporting materials and procedures, and preparing and other necessary data. </li><li>Prepare and maintains productivity reports and variances </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li><li>Supports the Mission, Vision and Values of Tampa Family Health Centers, Inc. (TFHC) </li><li>Strictly adheres to all HIPAA, TFHC, state, federal and accreditation agency rules and regulations </li></ul> <p>Required Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Training</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in accounting from an accredited college required </li></ul> <p>Required Years of Experience</p> <ul> <li>Minimum (2) years of accounting experience </li></ul> <p>Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel </li><li>Excellent communication skills, both oral and written </li></ul>
