As one of the first staff interactions on the property, this role is essential to providing guests with high-quality, memorable experiences right out of the gates.</p> <p>Positions are available for:</p> <ul> <li>Kentucky Derby and Oaks: May 01 - 02 </li><li>Derby Week: April 25 - May 02 </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Welcome, greet, and thank guests as they enter the facility. </li><li>Assist patrons with scanning of their valid mobile or physical tickets at the turnstiles. </li><li>Review status of tickets that have issues scanning at entry. </li><li>Direct guests to box office ticket resolution windows to assist with a ticket issue. </li><li>Provide exemplary customer service when providing information to guests. </li><li>Attend any pre-shift meetings for updates on items </li><li>Report to supervisor(s) and/or security with any suspicious activity, including ticket scalpers. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Must arrive on time and ready to work at shift start. </li><li>Ability to follow and understand verbal and written instructions. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and guests. </li><li>Team player with an exceptional customer service attitude. </li><li>Available to work on race days and special events </li><li>Possess a willingness to work long hours, evenings, weekends and holidays. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED required. </li><li>Must be at least 18 years of age. </li><li>This position requires completion of a background check. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to stand for extending periods of time throughout the workday, in outside-weather conditions. </li><li>This position requires the ability to lift up to 10 pounds. </li></ul> <p>CHURCHILL DOWNS INCORPORATED</p> <p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.</p> <p>Work With Us</p> <p>Churchill Downs Incorporated is an inclusive and fun place to work.
