<p>Apply</p> <p>Job Type</p> <p>Full-time</p> <p>Description</p> <p>University Anesthesiologists is seeking a full time Procedure Nurse (Medical Assistant) to join our growing practice at UT Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of clinical experience, proficiency with EMR systems, and a strong understanding of clinical operations. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Procedure Nurse you will play a crucial role in supporting providers and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Patient Assessment and Preparation:</p> <ul> <li>Conducts thorough pre-procedure assessments of patients two days prior to procedure, including appropriate hold of blood thinners, no active infection or current antibiotic use, and notation of authorization of insurance. </li><li>Ensure patients are adequately prepared for their procedures by answering and returning any phone calls regarding upcoming appointments. </li><li>Collect vital signs and prepare patient in appropriate position for procedure. </li></ul> <p>Procedural Assistance and Support:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare procedure room, equipment (ultrasound, fluoroscopy machine), supplies, and medications. </li><li>Control equipment during procedure as advised by the provider. </li><li>Ensure a sterile environment, as appropriate. </li><li>Provide patient support and reassurance before and throughout the procedure, addressing any questions or concerns and notifying provider as necessary. </li></ul> <p>Documentation and Communication:</p> <ul> <li>Accurately document pre-procedure assessments (AAA checks). </li><li>Complete post-procedure phone calls as scheduled and document using the provided template. </li><li>Use the messaging tool in the EMR to communicate and relay any patient questions to the appropriate provider. </li><li>Upload ultrasound and fluoroscopy imaging for the week to the patient medical record. </li><li>Upload patient procedure report from PowerChart to the medical record. </li></ul> <p>Inventory Management:</p> <ul> <li>Medications and supplies appropriately stocked in supply cabinet and procedure room. </li><li>Complete weekly inventory management of medications and supplies. </li></ul> <p>Positive Personal and Professional Attitude- Develops and maintains a positive attitude with coworkers and patients daily and during office processes or policy changes.</p> <ul> <li>Treats coworkers and patients with respect. </li><li>Demonstrates a positive attitude when there is change in workload, office policy or processes. </li><li>Understands that teamwork is necessary to positive relationships with coworkers and practice efficiency as a whole. </li></ul> <p>Ongoing Personal Development- Personally consistently demonstrates the 5Cs and 3Es</p> <ul> <li>5Cs- Compassionate, Courteous, Competent, Committed to the cause, "Can-do" attitude </li><li>3Es- Effective, Efficient, Evolving </li></ul> <p>Compensation included a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, Sick Leave, 401k retirement plan with company match and immediate vesting, Life Insurance, Critical Illness, and more!</p> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a clinical setting. </li><li>Proficiency with EMR systems and understanding of medical documentation. </li><li>Experience with pre-authorizations preferred. </li><li>Strong organizational and multitasking skills. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to changing priorities. </li><li>Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) is required. </li></ul> <p>If you're ready to make a positive impact on patient care and are eager to join a supportive and professional team, we encourage you to apply today!</p>
