As a nonprofit organization, we provide a broad range of high-quality services including prevention, foster care, residential treatment care, adoption, and integrated medical and mental health services.</p> <p>Our Therapeutic Foster Boarding Home (TFBH) Program supports youth with emotional, behavioral, and medical needs in family-based, therapeutic placements. To learn more about our mission and programs, visit www.littleflowerny.org.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The TFBH Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of Caseworkers and Behavior Specialists who provide trauma-informed care coordination, foster parent support, and permanency planning services within the TFBH program. This position plays a critical role in fostering parent recruitment and training, home certification, and case oversight to ensure youth receive high-quality therapeutic placements and services.</p> <p>The Supervisor collaborates with the Director and TFBH Homefinding Administrator to oversee program intake, develop foster home capacity, and maintain compliance with regulatory and agency expectations. This position contributes to service excellence by ensuring timely communication, staff coaching, and family-centered interventions.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and support Caseworkers and Behavior Specialists to ensure timely, effective, and compliant service delivery to youth and families. </li><li>Oversee day-to-day case assignments, progress reviews, and documentation in accordance with agency and OCFS standards. </li><li>Participate in program intake and collaborate with the TFBH Homefinding Administrator to facilitate timely certification of new foster homes. </li><li>Maintain regular quality contact with foster parents to monitor placement stability, identify needs, and ensure alignment with therapeutic goals. </li><li>Address conflicts and concerns among foster youth, families, providers, and staff, using a trauma-informed, solution-focused approach. </li><li>Ensure that case documentation, foster parent records, and casework practices meet compliance and quality standards. </li><li>Collaborate with the Director on audits, performance tracking, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. </li><li>Covering a caseloads and supporting in the event of an emergency or absence of a caseworker or behavior specialist </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in social work, Human Services, Psychology, or related field required. </li><li>3- 5 years of relevant casework experience </li><li>LMSW, SIFI certified preferred </li><li>Strong knowledge of child welfare systems, casework principles, and trauma-informed practices. </li><li>Experience with foster care regulations, home certification processes, and OCFS standards. </li><li>Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and team-building abilities. </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfort with documentation and reporting systems. </li><li>Valid NYS Driver's License and reliable vehicle required; travel across New York State as needed. </li></ul> <p>Core Competencies:</p> <p>Foster care supervision, case management oversight, staff coaching and development, foster parent training and support, intake and home certification coordination, documentation and compliance, recruitment and community engagement.</p> <p>Why Join Little Flower?</p> <ul> <li>Join a mission-driven organization with nearly a century of service. </li><li>Collaborate with a passionate, supportive, and diverse team. </li><li>Access to professional development, training, and growth opportunities. </li><li>Contributes to a program that strengthens families and supports youth healing and success. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>This is a full-time, on-site position based in Wading River, NY. </li><li>Travel required throughout Nassau, Suffolk, and New York State. </li><li>Occasional evening and weekend hours for community events and foster parent outreach. </li></ul> <p>EEO Statement:</p> <p>Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
