<p>Overview</p> <p>As a Materials Handler I you will be part of a team performing a variety of important processes to support the Manufacturing Department in the production of Drug Products. In this role you will be responsible for receiving general supplies as well as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) raw materials. This position will quarantine, release, and issue GMP material using the Business Central software system. The Materials Handler will also assist in the labeling of vialed Drug Product. The Handler will also be responsible for shipping of Drug Products to Clinical sites as well as to testing labs.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks </li><li>Quarantine and release GMP materials following established procedures </li><li>Issue GMP materials to support Manufacturing </li><li>Organize shipments, and compile the necessary paperwork to ensure that incoming and outgoing shipments adhere to Department of Transportation's regulations and all other relevant regulations </li><li>Assist with clinical labeling </li><li>Assist with clinical shipments to Clinical Trail sites </li><li>Assist in the shipping and receiving of Drug Substance/Drug Product </li><li>Write and revise departmental SOPs, when necessary </li><li>Weekly cleaning of Material Management (MM) rooms </li><li>Receipt of MFG retains, receipt of QC tested material retains. </li><li>File all Material Management (MM) associated documents, MM binder upkeep. </li><li>Other responsibilities as needed </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Accuracy and reliability </li><li>Experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook </li><li>Strong communication and organizational skills </li><li>The ability to multitask and to work independently and as part of a team </li><li>Problem solving and critical thinking </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of inventory tracking software </li><li>Preferably DOT/IATA training </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>The ability to stand for long periods of time </li><li>Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds </li><li>Work in enclosed areas, and different types of climates </li><li>Operation of powered pallet jack </li></ul> <p>Education/Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma, associates' degree in science, or 1-3 years' experience in shipping and receiving preferred </li><li>Prior work experience in biotech or pharmaceutical company as a Materials Handler or experience in shipping and receiving is a plus </li></ul> <p>Compenstation:</p> <p>The expected base salary range for this position is $20 to $23 per hour.</p> <p>We are committed to compensating employees equitably based on several factors including experience, education, licensure/certifications, skill level, location of the position, and availability of similar talent in a competitive market.</p> <p>Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary bonus, long term incentive, 401(K) plan with employer contribution, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), paid holidays, vacation, and sick days.
