<p>Position Description</p> <p>Seeking an Accounting Clerk that will provide basic administrative support to an accounting and payroll department. General duties will include processing invoices, entering data entry into different the accounting and payroll systems.</p> <p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provides accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department </li><li>Maintains accounting department files and records </li><li>Enters information into the MIP accounting system </li><li>Processes incoming purchase orders and invoices </li><li>Enters necessary general ledger journal entries </li><li>Assist in the entering payroll date in the ADP payroll system </li><li>Assists with special accounting projects as needed </li><li>Performs other clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, scanning and mailing. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by Administrator </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of a High School Diploma. Some college education a plus. </li><li>At least 1 year of accounting experience; willing to train right candidate with accounting education and who is seeking to expand their accounting skills. </li><li>Proficiency knowledge of computer software that includes Microsoft Excel and Word. </li><li>Quick learner and open to challenges. </li><li>Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. </li></ul>
