<p>Description</p> <p>Springfield College welcomes applications for a part-time position teaching one section of Art Therapy and Trauma Informed Care (ATPY 607) for the fall 2026 semester (starting date of September 8th, 2026).</p> <p>ATPY 607 explores the history, evolution, and application of Trauma Informed Care in clinical settings. Art therapy approaches and applications of Trauma Informed Care with a variety of populations is woven throughout the course with a relational model. A review of the connections between holocaust studies and art therapy theory is highlighted. The process of translating trauma informed art therapy theories into practice is the core of this course as well as best practice recommendations.</p> <p>This course will be offered during the fall 2026 semester on Thursdays from 4-6:50pm, on campus and in-person. For any questions regarding this position, please send inquiries to Chris Gagne, music program director and chair of the Visual & Performing Art Department at Springfield College (cgagne2@springfieldcollege.edu).</p> <p>Compensation for adjunct faculty with fewer than 3 years college teaching experience is $2820 for a 3-credit course</p> <p>Compensation for adjunct faculty with 3 or more years college teaching experience is $3513 for a 3-credit course.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>A master's degree in Art Therapy from an ACATE-accredited institution is required, along with professional experience as an art therapist. An active ATR license is required, as well as training in trauma-informed therapy.</p> <p>College teaching experience is preferred, but not required.</p>
