<p>Overview</p> <p>Location: Mercyhealth Hospital & Trauma Center Center - Janesville, WI and Mercyhealth Hospital & Medical Center - Walworth, WI</p> <p>The Manager of Volunteer Services is responsible for the daily operations of the hospital volunteer programs including recruitment, training, scheduling, and maintaining volunteer records. This position works closely with organization departments to coordinate programs to enhance the quality of service provided. Available for consultation as needed. Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in a related field from a college or university is required. </li><li>Two to three years of volunteer leadership experience is required, preferably in a hospital setting. </li><li>Ten or more years in a leadership role in a Volunteer setting will be considered in lieu of a college degree. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal/communication skills. </li><li>Good planning and strong organizational skills. </li><li>Strong analytical and organizational skills. </li><li>Previous fundraising experience. </li></ul> <p>Benefits include:</p> <ul> <li></li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision </li><li>Life & Disability Insurance </li><li>FSA/HSA Options </li><li>Generous PTO </li><li>Parental & Caregiver Leave </li><li>Career Advancement </li><li>Tuition Reimbursement </li><li>Certification Reimbursement </li><li>Well-being Programs </li><li>Employee Discounts </li><li>On-Demand Pay </li><li>Financial Education </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Manages and oversees all activities of the Volunteer Services Department </li><li>Develop and maintain a cohesive recruitment, orientation, training, retention, and recognition strategy for volunteers </li><li>Develops and implements new programs, partnering with department leaders to coordinate volunteer projects and descriptions to help support the mission of the organization </li><li>Act as an organizational advocate and partner with community agencies to collaborate on community-based volunteer efforts </li><li>Communicates with volunteers to build relationships to help attract and retain service hours </li><li>Serves as a liaison between Mercyhealth Administration and the Volunteer Auxiliary Board </li><li>Prepares and monitors department budgets </li><li>Responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating department staff </li><li>Develops, revises, and implements policies and procedures, including performance standards of the volunteers to help enhance and maintain quality of service </li><li>Manages volunteer relations issues and provide guidance to the organization on volunteer policies, procedures, and job functions </li><li>Provide volunteer operational oversight for the gift shop, Thrift Shop, Hospitality House and other volunteer-based support programs </li></ul>
