<p>As a member of our cabin cleaning team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient cleaning of aircraft cabins. Some of the duties will include preparing cleaning solvents for use, vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, and disinfecting the aircraft cabin. Cleaning solvents need to be stored correctly after use and all soiled linens deposited into laundry bins. You will be driving and operating small specialized commercial vehicles at times and as such you will require a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. You and your team will be required to maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures. Responsible for cabin service cleaning activities for a given area as assigned. Work consists and includes that of other cabin service employees.</p> <p>Location: Los Angeles International Airport - LAX</p> <p>Pay starts at $19.87/hour and goes up to $22.47/hour after 8 months of working for the company</p> <p>Primary Accountabilities and Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Remove blankets and pillows and replace them with clean ones </li><li>Ensure all cleaning solvents are stored correctly after use </li><li>Ensure that all cleaning equipment is in working order and that all protective clothing is worn as instructed </li><li>Deposit all soiled linens into laundry bins </li><li>Adhere to Menzies uniform guidelines and code of conduct </li><li>Operate small specialized commercial vehicles </li><li>Maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be 18 years of age or older</p> </li><li> <p>Possess and maintain a valid US driver's license</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing to include drug testing and a physical</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English</p> </li><li> <p>Must be comfortable lifting 70 lbs. repetitively</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals</p> </li><li> <p>Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays</p> </li><li> <p>The job is done both in and outdoors which will require you to work in all weather conditions</p> </li><li> <p>Flexible schedule</p> </li><li> <p>Reliable source of transportation</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred prior cabin cleaning experience</p> </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to learn quickly </li><li>Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills </li><li>Ability to work as part of a team </li><li>Ability to build relationships </li></ul>
