<p>OVERVIEW:</p> <p>Job Title: Fabrication Shop Helper</p> <p>Schedule: Monday - Friday (weekends as needed)</p> <p>Location: Fabrication yard, Houma, LA</p> <p>Danos Expectations:</p> <p>A successful candidate will exhibit characteristics that support the following:</p> <p>Safety Awareness</p> <p>Work Ethic</p> <p>Technical Skill</p> <p>Customer Focus</p> <p>Open Communication</p> <p>Implementing Vision and Values</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Capable of coordinating with QC on scanning and data books.</p> <p>Operates overhead crane</p> <p>Assume a safe position during lifting operations and be aware of the position of others</p> <p>Assemble pipe spools, by bolt up flange connections</p> <p>Assist welders and fitters with assembly of pipe & pipe fittings and operates hand tools such as jacks, coma-longs, grinders, drills, etc…</p> <p>Stenciling and tagging</p> <p>Complete daily visual inspections and minor maintenance to ensure equipment is in proper working condition.</p> <p>Lubricates machinery and equipment</p> <p>Splices and repairs cables and ropes</p> <p>Participate in daily JSEA planning discussion</p> <p>Proper PPE selection and usage</p> <p>Conduct behavioral based safety observations</p> <p>Understands and uses Stop Work Authority</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>2 or more years of prior fabrication experience</p> <p>Knowledge of crane hand signals</p> <p>Selects correct rigging as per weight and balance loads</p> <p>Experience using safe work habits</p> <p>Candidates will be required to pass:</p> <p>Written Rigger Assessment</p> <p>Welding Certified Tacker test</p> <p>Why work for PES?</p> <p>PES offers competitive wages, sustainable health benefits, 401K company match, and opportunities for employee development.</p> <p>Sounds like your ideal employer?</p> <p>Apply today!
