Read more: careers.bms.com/working-with-us.</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>The Senior Director, Strategy & Operations will be a strategic partner to the SVP and Head of Market Access, Pricing, and Value Demonstration (MAx), as well as the MAx Leadership Team. This position involves driving key operations, effective communication, and facilitation of strategic priorities across the MAx organization, ensuring that key decisions are aligned and executed across various stakeholders. Acting as a Chief of Staff and strategic business partner to the MAx SVP, this position is pivotal in supporting the MAx SVP and Leadership team to achieve organizational goals and improve market access strategies.</p> <p>The ideal candidate for this role has a broad understanding of market access, healthcare systems, and regulatory environments, along with familiarity with commercialization and payer strategies, and pricing/reimbursement processes. A proven track record of managing and executing projects successfully, and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely completion is core to position responsibilities. The individual should excel at relationship building and connectivity with key stakeholders. The position requires an individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, have strong project management skills, and easily adapt to changing priorities and challenges.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Regularly partner with SVP Global MAx and the leadership team made up of 7 VPs to achieve strategic business goals, guide operational elements for teams, and drive the execution of identified key MAx strategic projects.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in the development and implementation of market access strategies, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with organizational goals; Develop and maintain a MAx scorecard.</p> </li><li> <p>Act as a liaison between the Market Access leadership and other departments, facilitating effective communication and information flow within the organization.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee and manage priority cross-sleeve projects and initiatives, collaborating with the MAx S&O teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide critical analysis and recommendations to support executive decision-making and prepare reports and presentations for the SVP Global MAx.</p> </li><li> <p>Drive the agenda setting of key internal meetings (LT meetings, Town Halls, etc.) and manage follow-up/action items and communications across the team.</p> </li><li> <p>Co-lead planning for global MAx meetings, employee engagement sessions, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency of MAx and monitor and evaluate the performance of various departments.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor the external pricing and access environment and contribute to the formulation of external engagement strategies.</p> </li><li> <p>Address and resolve issues that arise within the broader Market Access organization and act as a troubleshooter for the MAx executive team.</p> </li><li> <p>Embed and drive a culture of innovation, collaboration, diversity, and inclusion.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Undergraduate degree required, MBA and/or post-graduate degree preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of 15 years of combined commercial/access/capability function experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare-related industry required.</p> </li><li> <p>Understanding of the biopharmaceuticals industry in oncology, hematology, cardiovascular, immunology, neuroscience, and cell therapy in WW and US Markets is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Understanding of access, drug pricing, pricing systems, and policy globally.</p> </li><li> <p>Individual must possess the ability to build alignment and drive performance across matrix teams through personal influence.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of the Product Development and Commercialization Process.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated learning agility; ability to adapt in an agile way as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven ability to set and deliver in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment; ability to think critically about issues and understand context and likely challenges.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to successfully and effectively collaborate and work across boundaries (e.g., Commercial Business Leads/functions, R&D, Corporate Affairs, Global Policy and Government Affairs, External Partners) and build strong working relationships.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven ability to "flex" across different types of cultures, work, complexities, business situations, and matrix partners.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstration of all Core BMS Behaviors - Passion, Innovation, Accountability, and Urgency</p> </li></ul> <p>The starting compensation for this job is a range from $224,910 - $272,500, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).</p> <p>The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.</p> <p>Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.</p> <p>Eligibility for specific benefits listed on our careers site may vary based on the job and location.
