With the help of every member of the MHS team, we're committed to expanding our efforts to share more history with more people than we ever have before.</p> <p>Founded in 1866, the Missouri Historical Society operates three locations - the Missouri History Museum, Soldiers Memorial Military Museum, and the Library and Research Center. Together our locations serve as the confluence of historical perspectives and contemporary issues to inspire and engage audiences in the St. Louis region and beyond. We do that by telling local stories that focus on the history of this region and its people. This approach has led to some of the most consistently successful years in MHS's history.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Human Resources Administrator provides administrative support to the HR department, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with MHS policies and employment laws. This role involves maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment, employee on-boarding, payroll processing, and supporting HR initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>Onboarding</p> <ul> <li>Manage all internal and external job posting openings </li><li>Manage the hiring process for new hires to ensure a smooth transition into the organization </li><li>Source applicants through online channels and other professional networks </li><li>Administer new hire profiles and I-9 verification in the HRIS system (Paycom) </li><li>Coordinate and facilitate new hire on-boarding programs </li><li>Train supervisors on utilization of Paycom </li><li>Prepare HR documents </li></ul> <p>Employee File Maintenance:</p> <ul> <li>Act as the first point of contact for all HR queries and email correspondence </li><li>Provide support and guidance to employees on HR policies, procedures, and programs </li><li>Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HR systems </li></ul> <p>Payroll:</p> <ul> <li>Process the bi-weekly payroll for the Missouri Historical Society </li><li>Verify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies </li><li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations </li><li>Serve as liaison with Paycom concerning HRIS and payroll matters, including implementation of systematic updates and processes </li></ul> <p>Administrative:</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with other HR team members to support various HR initiatives and projects as needed </li><li>Plan and implement special occasion staff events </li><li>All other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High-school diploma, college degree is preferred </li><li>Two-three years of experience working in Human Resources or a payroll related field </li><li>Broad knowledge of labor laws and practices required </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Establish and maintain effective internal/external working relationships </li><li>Decision-making ability </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills </li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills </li><li>Knowledge of industry standards and trends </li></ul> <p>Deadline to Apply: Position open until filled.</p> <p>Please upload cover letter and resume when applying.</p> <ul> <li>External job boards: Please click this link to apply. </li></ul> <p>An Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>Services Provided On A Non-Discriminatory Basis</p>
