<p>To coordinate the hospital's Baker Act program to ensure strict compliance with all legal and operational aspects of the law.</p> <p>Designs, develops and implements appropriate policies, procedures and forms in accordance with regulatory requirements.</p> <p>Safeguards patient's rights by reviewing admissions documents, charts and progress notes and ensuring staff follow regulatory requirements and guidelines.</p> <p>Maintains communications with State's Attorney, Public Defender, Courts, and all other designated individuals involved in the care and treatment of the patient.</p> <p>Develops and maintains good working relationships with service providers, agencies hospitals and law enforcement.</p> <p>Provides required and ongoing training to all staff to insure compliance with regulatory requirements, i.e. BA Compliance, Chart Documentation, patient support, etc.</p> <p>Actively involved with Intake, Admissions, Nursing and Clinical Services in clinical record reviews.</p> <p>Ensures timely submission of all required court documents, attends court hearings and facilitates/communicates with all parties involved in the court process</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities</p> <p>This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
