<p>This position can be remote, but candidates MUST be located in our business footprint. Those areas include: TN, AL, South KY, North GA.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Responsible for oversight, workflow management, and the preparation of all required paperwork necessary for the compliant and efficient closing of mortgage, construction, and in-house mortgage loans.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Coordinates the workflow for the mortgage closing process and document preparation. </li><li>Prepares closing instructions and other required documentation. Delivers preliminary instructions to appropriate settlement office and coordinates closing date. </li><li>Prepares all required documents required in order to properly close a loan, delivers the closing package to the designated party for signatures. </li><li>Verifies accuracy and consistency of specifications on documents, such as title abstract and insurance forms. </li><li>Reviews approved mortgage loan to determine conditions that must be met prior to closing, </li><li>Reviews documentation for compliance, which includes RESPA and Regulation Z compliance, BSA compliance, adherence to loan closing conditions, adherence to document expiration dates </li><li>Responsible for follow up for documentation exceptions to corrections to legal documentation and follow up for missing documentation </li><li>Adheres to all rules and regulations applicable to this position. </li><li>Performs all other duties that may be assigned. </li></ul> <p>Education, Skills and Experience</p> <ul> <li>A minimum of two years mortgage closing experience </li><li>Excellent, organizational, telephone etiquette, customer service and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines. </li><li>Good communication skills, both verbal and written. </li><li>Ability to work accurately with detailed information. </li><li>PC proficiency with working knowledge of Word and Excel. </li><li>Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision. </li><li>Ability to make sound business decisions, use good judgment and apply established policies and procedures. </li></ul>
