<p>Job Title: Retail Packaging Maintenance Specialist (Day Shift)</p> <p>Department: Maintenance</p> <p>Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain packaging, production, and facility equipment, while adhering to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes in an effort to support the site's business goals and objectives. </li><li>Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment including but not limited to packaging equipment, machines, and other proprietary systems and machines. </li><li>Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. </li><li>Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facility. </li><li>Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. </li><li>Perform all other duties as assigned or needed. </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma required. </li><li>This position will be required to perform basic math, reading and writing as well as advanced computer and automation skills. </li><li>AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance a plus. </li><li>4+ years of manufacturing experience preferred. </li><li>strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skill set. </li><li>Must have strong electrical background. </li><li>Must have Intermediate to advanced PLC, VFD, and automation skills. </li><li>Have the ability to diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments. </li><li>Have the ability to use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties. </li></ul> <p>PRODUCT SAFETY AND QUALITY:</p> <ul> <li>Place high priority on food safety, quality, and sanitation by understanding and executing Thrive Freeze Dry's food safety, quality, and sanitation policies and procedures. </li><li>Hold self and others accountable to Thrive Freeze Dry's food safety, quality, and sanitation guidelines and policies by communicating any food safety or quality incident, observation, or opportunity to your leadership team or teammates. </li><li>Adheres to and ensures Product Safety and Quality standards are followed. </li><li>Adheres to and ensures GMP's regarding food contact packaging as it pertains to the employee. </li><li>Adheres to and ensures Thrive's food safety, product defense standards and quality objectives complies with all SQF system requirements. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Must be able to perform the following functions with or without accommodations:</p> <ul> <li>Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and some fine finger dexterity. </li><li>Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 50% or greater standing, 50% walking. </li><li>The job is performed under frequent temperature variations and in a food manufacturing warehouse environment. </li><li>Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. </li><li>The ability to lift to 40 lbs. is required. </li></ul>
