<p>Position Summary</p> <p>To see the full list of duties view the position description.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>The starting pay rate for this position is between $42.34 - $45.67 per hour ( $88.067 to $94,933 annually), or up to the appointment maximum at the time of the appointment, depending on experience and qualifications, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan in effect at the time of hire. Starting pay for current state employees may vary based on applicable provisions in the Compensation Plan.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>The hiring process for this position will include a background investigation, criminal history check, fingerprint checks, tax compliance checks, pre-employment medical examination, drug screen, and psychological exams. Candidates must pass each step in the hiring process to move forward to the next and prior to offer of hire.</p> <p>I-9 Requirements: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship) at the time of appointment. The Department of Revenue does not sponsor work or student visas and is not an eligible OPT employer for those with F1 visas. DOR participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with Form I-9 information for all new employees to confirm authorization to work in the U.S.</p> <p>Probationary Period: A 12-month probationary period will be required.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Special Requirements (listed in the introduction section of the announcement): Applicants will need to answer and pass online questions, prior to further consideration of your letter of qualification and resume following the instructions outlined.</p> <p>Please address the following in your letter of qualifications and résumé:</p> <p>Special Requirement:</p> <p>Must be currently certified as a law enforcement officer by the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board (LESB); or eligible for immediate recertification through the State of Wisconsin Department of Justice reciprocity.</p> <p>Reciprocity Note: For sworn law enforcement officer applicants from outside Wisconsin - Reciprocity Requirements for becoming a certified law enforcement officer in Wisconsin can be found at: https://wilenet.widoj.gov/training-standards/officer-training-employment-and-reciprocity</p> <p>Applicant Instructions:</p> <ul> <li>You must meet the special requirement noted above.
