<p>What this Department does:</p> <p>Corporate Communications/Public Relations is responsible for building and protecting Tallgrass Energy's reputation as a safe, customer-focused and growth-oriented midstream operator committed to providing long-term, sustainable value to all stakeholders, from customers and partners to employees and our communities. This group's responsibilities include crisis and issues management, media relations, external and internal communications and community relations.</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <p>You can expect to:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with Public Affairs & Communications content creation for public engagements and stakeholder engagements. That may include the production of one pagers, flyers, and background information to assist with the production of these materials. </li><li>Help create and update community outreach lists, including legislators, state officials, and county and municipal leaders. </li><li>Schedule meetings, track associated data, and assist with notes during community and stakeholder engagements. </li><li>Conduct research and drafting of internal subject matter summaries, policy issues, and perhaps external op-eds or internal newsletter segments. </li><li>Assemble and distribute the clips to company leadership twice per week on our media monitoring platform. </li><li>Assist with digital and traditional communications, messaging campaigns, and political grassroots/advocacy campaigns. </li></ul> <p>What you will bring:</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>Student actively enrolled in an approved bachelor's program in business, public affairs, and/or communication degree program with expected graduation date of December 2024-May 2026.</p> <p>Experience/Specific Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy, and professionalism. </li><li>Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public. </li></ul> <p>What makes you stand out:</p> <ul> <li>Strong academic performance </li><li>Ability to collect, organize, interpret, and present data with quality and accuracy. </li><li>Must be able to take direction from supervisor(s), keep required work schedule, focus attention on details, and follow work rules. </li><li>Ability to take on additional tasks and shift priorities on short notice. </li><li>Strong focus on safe work practices. </li><li>Able to complete work assignments with moderate supervision in an acceptable timeframe. </li><li>Aptitude and interest in learning and leveraging new programs to accomplish tasks. </li><li>Write effectively, and understand verbal and written communications, including but not limited to email. </li><li>Must be able to perform all essential and marginal functions of the job. </li><li>Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines. </li></ul> <p>What else you need to know:</p> <p>Our internships are temporary full-time positions, in-person/remote hybrid at our Lakewood or Houston office. We will host our Summer 2025 interns from May-August for 10 weeks.</p> <p>Compensation And Other Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Pay Range $21.45-$24.53 USD hourly </li><li>You may be eligible for a stipend to subsidize housing costs. </li><li>The final pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and working location. The total compensation package for this role may also include overtime pay, paid time off, a housing stipend, and more. </li></ul>
