The Supervisor of Mathematics will be responsible for providing visionary leadership, supporting teachers in implementing best practices, and ensuring high standards of student achievement in mathematics. This role involves curriculum development, teacher mentoring, data analysis, and collaboration with administrators to foster a culture of continuous improvement.</p> <p>Essential Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Valid New Jersey Administrative Certificate with Supervisor endorsement</p> </li><li> <p>Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate in one or more of the following areas:</p> </li><li> <p>Mathematics K-12; or</p> </li><li> <p>Middle School with Subject matter Specialization: Mathematics in Grades 5-8 alongside an instructional certificate</p> </li><li> <p>Master's Degree from an accredited college or university with extensive course work and recent evidence of advanced study in are of responsibility</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of five years of successful mathematics teaching experience</p> </li><li> <p>In-depth knowledge of the New Jersey Learning Standards (NJSLA) Mathematics</p> </li><li> <p>Strong background in foundational mathematics practices with a focus on conceptual understanding</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate leadership in the application of mathematics and mathematics leadership among instructional practitioners</p> </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Establishes and promotes high standards and expectations for students and staff for academic performance and responsibility for behavior. </li><li>Works cooperatively and collectively with district administrators, principals, supervisors, and teachers to ensure that instructional programs and services are coordinated and administered uniformly and equitably. </li><li>Ensures coordination of services and articulation between the secondary and elementary levels of the instructional programs by communicating frequently with supervisors, and principals regularly. </li><li>Provides administrative and supervisory responsibility for assigned instructional programs in the respective New Jersey Student Learning Standards. </li><li>Develops, implements, supervises, and evaluates curriculum and instructional practices that ensures that each student meets and exceeds New Jersey Student Learning Standards consistent with the mission, philosophy, values, and instructional goals of the district and meet all laws, codes, Board Policies, and Regulations. </li></ul> <p>Salary: Commensurate with experience and TAAS Salary Guide</p> <p>Application Procedure:</p> <p>Apply online</p> <p>POSITION WILL CLOSE UPON SECURING A VIABLE CANDIDATE</p> <p>NJ First Act effective 9/1/2011</p> <p>Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer</p>
