<p>SUMMARY:</p> <p>Reporting to the Director of Technical Services, the Customer Service Representative will be a member of the Sales Department. This position supports sales in communicating quotes and assisting customers with processing and fulfilling sales orders. The Customer Service Representative serves as a highly visible position with Globe that requires clear communication both internally and with our customer base.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Provide outstanding customer service by responding to and acknowledging customer inquiries. </li><li>Manage our internal CRM Process which tracks RFQ's, Internal costing reviews and approval process. </li><li>Support Globe's Sales Team, Manufacturing Operations and Leadership Team by setting up Quoting Templates, communicating purchase order questions, discrepancies, quotes, and delivery date changes. </li><li>Process sales orders either taken through Globe's Marine Website, or directly to Globe via e-mail or fax, reviewing the purchase orders against the quote, resolving discrepancies with the customer, then entering the sales order into Globe's Manufacturing ERP system. </li><li>Communicate production updates and new product announcements to customers </li><li>Manage and maintain our customer database of prospects, leads and clients </li></ul> <p>SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to perform under pressure of deadlines, while managing multiple orders and sales initiatives. </li><li>Strong written and oral communication skills are required, especially in regard to customers and prospects. </li><li>Exceptional customer focus </li><li>High-level of proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel and Word most frequently) </li><li>Knowledge of urethanes and composites a plus </li><li>Willing to learn about new products and services, with the ability to understand both the similarities and differences in the products and services that we offer. </li><li>Self-motivated and able to work with little direction or oversight </li><li>Positive, can-do attitude </li><li>Team player who works and communicates well with multifunctional teams </li><li>High ethical standards </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>4-year college degree is preferred but not required if related job experience is strong. </li><li>A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role. </li><li>Previous experience using Manufacturing ERP systems a must, Global Shop a preference. </li><li>Previous experience using CRM Applications a plus. </li><li>Experience with Defense Customers and Defense RFQ's a big plus. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <ul> <li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. </li><li>Constantly communicating with others to exchange information. </li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</p> <p>Majority of work is performed in a typical office environment with no major sources of discomfort.
