<p>Job Summary: The Food Server is responsible for creating the overall dining experience for our guests. The role will be accountable for interacting with guests, taking food & beverage orders as well as ensuring an exceptional guest experience.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Greet guest in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome upon seating. </li><li>Guide guest through all phases of their experience at the restaurant. </li><li>Consistently follow sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standarized by management. </li><li>Rotate to other Food & Beverage outlets/venues, as necessary. </li><li>Maintain table cleanliness utilizing silent table approach. </li><li>Itemized bills correctly and efficiently secure payment. </li><li>Ensure table side food service and quality presentation. </li><li>Maintain cleanliness and stock of assigned sections, side stations, tables and POS stations. </li><li>Anticipate the guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency. </li><li>Review identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age. </li><li>Maintain level of professionalism that will make guest want to return. </li><li>Exhibit proper knowledge, selling techniques of all menu items; food, non alcoholic beverages and alcoholic beverages. </li><li>Deliver food & beverages, including alcoholic options to guests. </li><li>Provide proper communication and promptly resolve guest issues. </li><li>Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing. </li><li>Work as a team, assisting all guests' needs and inquiries. </li><li>Ensure all Conrad Nashville core values as well as property and department standards are implemented and applied. </li><li>Bid farewell to guests, using guest's name when known and encourage them to return. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in a hotel, restaurant, or catering facility of similar caliber preferred. </li><li>Experience in fast paced, high volume atmosphere. </li><li>Good organizational and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and </li><li>department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures. </li><li>Excellent customer service skills. </li><li>Ability to read, write & speak fluent English. </li><li>Flexible schedule is necessary which includes but not limited to days, nights, weekends, and holidays. </li><li>Position requires regular and reliable attendance. </li><li>Good team spirit. </li><li>At least 18 years of age. </li><li>Must have ServSafe and TABC license </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Most work tasks are performed indoors, temperature can be very hot with or without control of environmental systems. </li><li>Must be able to stand for long periods of time </li><li>Must be able to maneuver between stations and areas efficiently and easily </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. </li><li>Requires manual dexterity </li><li>Must be flexible to work any day of the week, weekends, and holidays if assigned. </li></ul>
