Changing Lives.</p> <p>The University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking to fill Phlebotomy Technician I positions to perform phlebotomy/specimen collection and a variety of laboratory tasks related to phlebotomy, labeling specimens, telephone inquiries, and distribution of phlebotomy supplies.</p> <p>Duties to include:</p> <ul> <li>Performs phlebotomy draws </li><li>Performs computer data entry and other clerical tasks as required </li><li>Orders, receives, and distributes supplies </li><li>Responds to basic phlebotomy inquiries and otherwise represents assigned and related work areas </li></ul> <p>Percent of Time: 100%</p> <p>Schedule: Monday-Friday 1000-1830, rotating holidays</p> <p>Location: Iowa City, IA</p> <p>Merit Pay Plan</p> <p>Benefits Highlights:</p> <ul> <li>Regular salaried position located in Iowa City, Iowa </li><li>Fringe benefit package including paid vacation; sick leave; health, dental, life and disability insurance options; and generous employer contributions into retirement plans </li><li>For more information about Why Iowa?, click HERE! </li></ul> <p>Minimum Eligibility Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High school graduation or equivalent </li></ul> <p>Special Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Previous public contact/customer service experience </li></ul> <p>Desirable Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Completion of a phlebotomy training program or previous phlebotomy experience </li><li>Minimum six (6) months previous experience working in a healthcare setting </li><li>Basic computer skills </li><li>Previous experience with Personal Protective Equipment </li><li>Previous patient contact experience </li></ul> <p>Application Process:</p> <p>Please include a resume with your submission.
