<p>The New England Conservatory, an independent not-for-profit institution, is recognized internationally as a leader among music schools, educating and training musicians of all ages from around the world. As part of NEC's mission to make lifelong music education available to everyone, the Preparatory School and School of Continuing Education delivers training and performance opportunities for children, pre-college students, and adults.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Advancement Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Of?ce of Advancement and Engagement (AE). Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Major Gifts and Campaign, this role involves calendar management, expense processing, data management, and event coordination-providing crucial support to various advancement functions. The deadline-based nature of this role requires an individual who is able to prioritize the tasks at hand, to have many balls in the air at the same time, and to be able to plan ahead while keeping focus on the details for the immediate engagements.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive assistance to the AVP for Major Gifts and Campaign and the major gifts team, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, coordinating travel arrangements, and processing expenses. </li><li>Travel and Expense Management: Coordinate travel logistics for senior staff and gift of?cers, ensuring timely bookings and ef?cient travel plans. Process and reconcile travel expenses for the major gifts team. </li><li>Data Generation for Appeals and Communications: Assist with generating data for fundraising appeals, donor communications, and marketing materials, ensuring accuracy and currency of the data. </li><li>Event Coordination and Programming: Support the coordination of events and fundraising programs, managing logistics, registration, and communication with attendees and vendors. </li><li>Database Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in Raiser's Edge, ensuring proper tracking of donor and fundraising data. </li><li>Fundraising Analysis and Reporting: Assist with the development and analysis of weekly fundraising reports, tracking goals, activity, and giving trends. </li><li>Proposal and Gift Agreement Coordination: Collaborate with the Major Gifts team to ?nalize proposals and gift agreements, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate. </li><li>Other Duties: Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned. This role is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. </li></ul> <p>Quali?cations:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree required, with 2-5 years of experience in advancement, higher education, nonpro?t, or arts administration preferred. </li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft professional correspondence. </li><li>Experience with or ability to learn Raiser's Edge or similar CRM/database software, with an understanding of donor management systems. </li><li>Pro?ciency in Google Of?ce Suite and other data management tools. </li><li>Event coordination experience is a plus. </li><li>Ability to analyze data and generate reports with actionable insights. </li><li>Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to respond to inquiries promptly and professionally. </li><li>Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain con?dentiality. </li><li>Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team </li><li>Absolute attention to detail. </li><li>Nights, weekends, and some travel will be required. </li></ul> <p>NEC is an Equal Opportunity Employer that recruits and hires qualified candidates without regard to race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, disability, or veteran status.</p> <p>Annual Clery Report</p> <p>In accordance with the federal Clery and Campus SaVE Acts, New England Conservatory of Music (NEC) commits to providing all current and prospective students and employees with access to the annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report.
