<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Disassemble instruments and valves into constituent parts and subassemblies using a variety of hand-tools and equipment.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Disassemble instruments and valves using a variety of practices and processes that ensures the highest yield of constituent parts and subassemblies. </li><li>Properly identify parts and subassemblies using photos, PMI testing (Niton), OEM instruction manuals and acquired knowledge and experience. </li><li>Properly tag parts and subassemblies and maintain accurate tag status, quantity, and location. </li><li>Provides timely feedback to Supervisor regarding parts shortages and the prospects of yielding conforming parts. </li><li>Support stock checks by disassembling assemblies & staging specific parts for subsequent review by others. </li><li>Provide training and guidance to junior teardown personnel. </li><li>Other duties as may be assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Able to: </li><li>Read and interpret OEM instruction manuals. </li><li>Lift 50 lbs. unaided. </li><li>Walk & stand for approximately 8 hours per day in a conditioned shop environment. </li><li>High school diploma or GED </li><li>3 years of applicable experience </li><li>Computer proficiency </li></ul> <p>Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Action Oriented - Enjoys hard work; action oriented & full of energy </li><li>Informing - Provides the timely feedback & information others need to know to do their jobs. </li><li>Perseverance - Pursues everything with energy, drive & a need to finish; seldom gives up before finishing </li><li>Problem Solving - Applies appropriately logic & methods to solve disassembly problems </li></ul> <p>Additional Notes</p> <ul> <li>Key internal relationships include department Supervisor and other department personnel. </li></ul>
