<p>JOB DESCRIPTION: CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR</p> <p>LICENSE</p> <p>830 Curriculum and Instructional Management Coordinator</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Considerable knowledge and understanding of current principles, practices, trends, and issues in CTE; </li><li>Considerable knowledge and understanding of current and innovative instructional methods, materials, procedures, and practices; </li><li>Considerable knowledge of and ability to support CTE staff through student-centered coaching; </li><li>Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite, specifically, Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides, and the ability to manipulate performance data to produce reports, presentations, and documents; </li><li>Knowledge of Google Apps; ability to utilize web-based applications for instruction, assessment, and data collection; </li><li>Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills; </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills; </li><li>Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback; </li><li>Ability to analyze data to make short and long-range decisions about the CTE program; </li><li>Ability to plan and implement professional development for teachers, and other school system personnel; </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school officials, school administrators, teachers, support staff, and other stakeholders. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree and any of the following credentials:</p> </li><li> <p>Current continuing professional teaching license in any CTE area; or</p> </li><li> <p>Current continuing professional license as Curriculum Instructional Specialist; or</p> </li><li> <p>Current continuing professional license as Instructional Technology Specialist; or</p> </li><li> <p>Current continuing professional license as School Administrator</p> </li><li> <p>Five (5) years within the past eight (8) years of related work experience</p> </li><li> <p>NCDPI-sponsored CIMC Induction Program</p> </li></ul> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months</p> <p>CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Hold or be eligible for a North Carolina professional educator's license in the area of Curriculum and Instructional Management Coordinator; </li><li>Must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license according to the State of North Carolina requirements. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Experience in developing and implementing/delivering professional learning for topics such as curriculum development, data analysis, literacy </li><li>Experience working with adult learners and an understanding of adult learning theory </li><li>School/District level leadership </li><li>Proficient use of online tools for collaboration </li></ul> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>The Curriculum and Instructional Management Coordinator (CIMC) provides support to CTE teachers and support staff within the local public school unit to implement instructional processes that improve student outcomes to ensure the success of students in a high-skilled, high-wage, and/or high-demand global economy.</p> <p>MAJOR FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Curriculum Management</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain current knowledge of the CTE Essential Standards and various course information reports available in NCCTE Admin</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain current knowledge of state graduation requirements including Future Ready Core, Occupational Course of Study, and Extended Content Standards</p> </li><li> <p>Assist teachers in locating appropriate CTE instructional resources such as course blueprints, curriculum guides, equipment lists, proof of learning guides, and other curriculum-related resources</p> </li><li> <p>d. Apply the use of course information reports within NCCTE Admin to implement CTE programs of study locally</p> </li><li> <p>Understand the CTE Status of Curriculum and Assessment (SOCA) including course code, course type, course status, academic level, proof of learning, and teacher effectiveness model</p> </li><li> <p>Understand credential opportunities associated with CTE courses and pathways</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain current knowledge and administration of CTE proofs of learning</p> </li><li> <p>Understand state and local articulation requirements and processes</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain current knowledge of CTE programs of study, pathways, and CTE concentrator status</p> </li><li> <p>Attend CIMC regional and state meetings</p> </li><li> <p>Provide ongoing, sustained professional development to support continuous improvement of performance indicators</p> </li><li> <p>Provide ongoing, sustained professional development to support effective instruction and promising practices in CTE</p> </li><li> <p>Manage districtwide Professional Learning Communities (PLC) for CTE</p> </li><li> <p>Data Validation</p> </li><li> <p>Manage all Proof of Learning data collection, validation and analysis</p> </li><li> <p>Understand Perkins V legislation and the role of the CIMC in the local application and comprehensive local needs assessment process</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate the annual collection and reporting of data including CTE concentrator status and technical measures to meet state and federal requirements</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare data reports for CTE directors, local administrators, teachers and other stakeholders</p> </li><li> <p>Assist CTE directors, local administrators, and teachers with analyzing performance data</p> </li><li> <p>Assist CTE directors, local administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders with utilizing the CTE Course Management System and NCCTE Admin</p> </li><li> <p>Manage data collection and reports for CTE including CTSOs, purchasing, enrollments, etc.</p> </li></ul> <ol start="3"> <li>Instructional Support </li></ol> <ul> <li>Encourage and support the improvement of instruction for all CTE teachers through an instructional coaching model </li><li>Maintain a current knowledge of instructional strategies resulting in effective education design and delivery </li></ul>
