An employee in this class instructs and monitors the activities of inmates in an institutional industries shop which provides employment and vocational training in the methods, practices and techniques in the area of specialization. An employee in this class also advises inmates in the performance of the work, and evaluates and reports on their cooperativeness, capability and potential. Work is performed under the administrative supervision of a Correctional Industries Manager and involves regular exposure to unpredictable conditions, and requires frequent light physical effort.</p>
