<p>Compensation: To $20/hr</p> <p>Job Overview - Leave of Absence Coordinator - 33804</p> <p>We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Leave of Absence Coordinator to join our client's HR team. This role is responsible for guiding employees through the leave process, including Short-Term Disability (STD), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about federal and state leave regulations, skilled at managing high-volume communications, and able to provide exceptional support to both employees and management.</p> <ul> <li>Assist associates with the leave of absence notification process and initiate claims based on eligibility for STD, FMLA, and ADA. </li><li>Educate employees and managers on the eligibility requirements for various leave programs. </li><li>Respond to a high volume of inbound calls, managing multiple tasks and interruptions while maintaining excellent service. </li><li>Accurately document all communications and updates in the leave management system. </li><li>Maintain up-to-date claim information in ClaimVantage and payroll systems. </li><li>Partner with Unit Managers, Human Resources, and the Benefits team to keep them informed about employee leave status. </li><li>Monitor and manage the RightFax email inbox; promptly attach and file incoming documentation to corresponding leave claims. </li><li>Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and internal leave policies. </li><li>Maintain regular and reliable attendance to support consistent service delivery. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. </li><li>2+ years of experience in leave administration, benefits, or human resources support. </li><li>Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, STD, and other leave-related regulations. </li><li>Experience using leave management systems (e.g., ClaimVantage) and HRIS/payroll systems. </li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. </li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills. </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. </li></ul> <p>Sherpa Benefits</p> <p>Sherpa offers benefits to contract employees who meet the following criteria:</p> <ul> <li>Must be a full-time employee (30+ weekly hours/+130 hours per month) to be eligible </li><li>Medical plan offered is BCBSNC Blue Options PPO </li><li>Premiums will be pre-taxed </li><li>Sherpa pays a portion of the Employee only premium for medical </li><li>90 day waiting period from date of hire </li><li>Medical, Dental, and Vision plans </li></ul> <p>Additional Job Details</p> <p>Workplace Policy: #li-Hybrid</p> <p>Seniority Level: Associate</p> <p>Linked In Poster: #LI-KK1</p> <p>About our Process</p> <ul> <li>We will notify you if you are selected as a candidate for this role.
