<p>Join Our Team! Now Hiring a Full-Time Fleet Mechanic (1st Shift | 6:30AM - 3:00PM)</p> <p>Fleet Mechanics are responsible for the Maintenance of Menard-owned equipment and vehicles. This is light duty, medium duty, and heavy-duty truck, trailer, and forklift repairs.</p> <p>Why Menards?</p> <ul> <li>Pay based on experience </li><li>Health and Dental Insurance </li><li>401(k) </li><li>Employee Discount </li><li>Paid time off </li></ul> <p>PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Inspect fleet equipment to locate and determine the extent of necessary repair </li><li>Repair, replace, and adjust necessary units and related parts </li><li>Perform maintenance work to DOT standard for over the road equipment </li><li>Perform general overhaul and repair work on gasoline, diesel, propane, and battery powered engines/equipment </li><li>General repair, welding, and fabrication of fleet units </li><li>Perform preventive maintenance work on vehicles including lubrication, oil changes, and annual inspections </li><li>Clean and maintain the work area and equipment </li><li>Maintain records on all maintenance and repair work performed </li></ul> <p>Position Requirement:</p> <ul> <li>Must have some direct mechanical experience or an accredited Technician Degree </li><li>Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills </li><li>Ability to locate and resolve problems in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems </li><li>Proficient welding and maintenance experience </li><li>Must be able to take direction from management and the ability to work independently </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 75lbs. occasionally </li></ul>
