<p>This role helps to provide resources for members worldwide; thus, furthering the mission of the Church.</p> <p>Performs working level duties in receiving, stores, and/or shipping functions. Stocks material/commodities in a neat, orderly way; receives, inspects, and counts incoming material/commodities; rejects damaged items, records shortages, reviews, and interprets accompanying documentation; maintains records of stock received/shipped; and/or moves materials/ commodities between locations. Operates material handling, forklift, and packaging equipment.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist production by pulling materials, clearing products, and putting them away. This may include prestaging materials during off-peak hours.</p> </li><li> <p>Receives stock from suppliers. Is responsible for Inventory movement.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare pallets for shipment. Loads and unloads trucks.</p> </li><li> <p>Operates various material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach-lifts. May drive cars and trucks which requires appropriate valid operator license.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates material receipt, movement, and inventory control with vendors and departments. Reviews and interprets documentation used in inventory control. Maintains a computer-based inventory control system for all items. May include clearing receipts from previous day before main operations start for the day.</p> </li><li> <p>Reviews and interprets documentation accompanying shipments and checks for damaged items.</p> </li><li> <p>Records shortages and notifies purchasing to coordinate with supplier. May assist in inventory counts.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains material handling equipment and keeps appropriate records.</p> </li><li> <p>Be able to operate part of their day with limited support.</p> </li><li> <p>May be given special projects as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires a High school diploma with intermediate computer skills and basic math skills, and at least 2 years previous warehousing, material handling, or related work experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Preference will be given to those who have internal Church warehousing experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in operating motorized material handling equipment including reach-lifts.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to read and understand English.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to physically lift/move/push/pull items (up to 50 lbs. alone or occasionally lift up to 100 lbs. with two people), climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps to store/retrieve items, and operate a pallet jack containing up to 2500 lbs.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent interpersonal, organizational, training, and leadership skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Preference will be given to those already familiar with using a warehouse management system including the use of handheld scanners.</p> </li></ul>
