<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Job Posting: Long Term Substitute Position</p> <p>Organization/Location: Race Brook School, 107 Grannis Rd, Orange, CT 06477</p> <p>Position: Long Term Substitute - Grade 6</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Strong classroom management skills for working with students </li><li>A collaborative nature, and a passion for engaging students </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Connecticut teaching certification covering grade 6, preferred </li><li>Experience with elementary aged students </li><li>Strong communication skills </li><li>Collaborative with colleagues </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Plan day to day whole group, small group, and 1:1 instructional opportunities </li><li>Engage students in learning </li><li>Differentiate instruction </li><li>Monitor student progress </li><li>Maintain excellent records </li><li>Create conditions for student success </li><li>Maintain curriculum operational data demonstrated in Teacher Maps </li><li>Attend SRBI and Data Team Meetings prepared with accurate data </li><li>Maintain student confidentiality </li></ul> <p>Term/Duration: To begin on or about February 2, 2026 through June 2026</p> <p>Salary: The 2025-26 starting rate is $130 per school day.</p> <p>Application Process:</p> <p>To complete an online application.
