Candidate will oversee the team and ensure an efficient operation to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)</p> <p>Key Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Monitor production rates and help team members understand daily production goals. </li><li>Ensure that team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality standards. </li><li>Work to ensure all resources available are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements. </li><li>Ensure that non-conforming materials are clearly identified and segregated. </li><li>Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, and processing. </li><li>Manage work order prioritization. </li><li>Move all materials, either physically or mechanically, necessary to complete assignments. </li><li>Assist with changeovers and troubleshooting of Grinding equipment. </li><li>Maintain communication with department Supervisor. </li><li>Complete daily production documentation. </li><li>Conduct daily department meetings. </li><li>Train to operate all equipment within the area of responsibility. </li><li>Perform skills/performance assessments for department operators. </li><li>Write and edit/update work instructions, as needed. </li><li>Assist with 8D or 5 why Root cause analysis for quality issues. </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned by manager. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Attributes</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lead by example, gain respect from team and communicate with clarity. </li><li>Excellent critical thinking skills. </li><li>Contributes directly and indirectly to specific skilled tasks or processes. </li><li>Ability to work with limited supervision for non-routine situations. </li><li>Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies. </li><li>Strong PC skills and experience of software such as Excel and SAP. </li><li>Must be able to read, interpret and comprehend blueprints. </li><li>Advanced decision making and troubleshooting ability. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Areas of Education, Certifications, and Skills</p> <ul> <li>3 years of relevant work experience preferred. </li><li>Experience in leading small teams. </li><li>Experience in developing process competent machine operators. </li><li>High level of Mathematics.
