<p>Overview:</p> <p>The Order Picker is responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders within a refrigerated meat processing and distribution facility. This role ensures that products are picked, handled, and staged safely while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and accuracy.</p> <p>The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, operating warehouse equipment, and handling products in cold conditions while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Select customer orders using RF scanners or warehouse pick systems based on assigned pick paths</p> <p>Verify product, quantity, and lot information to ensure order accuracy</p> <p>Remove cases of meat products from storage locations and place them onto pallets</p> <p>Build stable and organized pallets in accordance with warehouse safety standards</p> <p>Transport completed pallets using pallet jacks or material handling equipment</p> <p>Stage completed orders in designated dock areas for shipment</p> <p>Handle products carefully to maintain product quality and food safety standards</p> <p>Identify and report damaged products, incorrect inventory, or location issues</p> <p>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment</p> <p>Operate pallet jacks and warehouse equipment safely</p> <p>Report safety concerns, damaged equipment, or hazards to a supervisor immediately</p> <p>Follow all company policies and procedures, including HACCP and SQF requirements</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment</p> <p>Strong attention to detail and accuracy</p> <p>Ability to follow written and electronic picking instructions</p> <p>Basic technology skills, including handheld scanners</p> <p>Reliable and safety-focused</p> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <p>High School Diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent work experience</p> <p>Previous warehouse, distribution, or food production experience preferred</p> <p>Experience using RF scanners or warehouse technology is a plus</p> <p>Experience operating pallet jacks or similar equipment preferred</p> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <p>Ability to work in a cold storage environment (approximately 36°F to below freezing)</p> <p>Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift</p> <p>Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 60 pounds</p> <p>Ability to bend, twist, reach, squat, and occasionally climb</p> <p>Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment such as EPJ Electric Pallet Jack</p>
