<p>Description</p> <p>Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute is seeking a Charge Nurse for our 38-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital operated jointly with Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, and Atlantic Health System. This position will give you a chance to be a vital member of an interdisciplinary team caring for people who need continued care to recover completely.</p> <p>Our Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Affordable medical, dental and vision plans provided to meet the needs of full-time employees and their families </li><li>Up to 20 days of PTO for full-time employees </li><li>6 paid holidays for full-time employees </li><li>Tuition reimbursement, continuing education opportunities and apprenticeship programs for eligible employees </li><li>401(K) retirement plan </li><li>Flexible spending and health savings accounts </li></ul> <p>What you will do in this role:</p> <ul> <li>The clinical supervisor/charge nurse assures the provision of safe and effective patient care after hours, on weekends and on holidays or when CNO/NM/Interim is not in building </li><li>Responsibilities include assessment of all departments in order to assure continuity of care and report pertinent information to management and administration </li><li>The clinical supervisor/charge nurse is responsible for effectively communicating unusual occurrences or complaints for follow -up and intervenes immediately when needed </li><li>Ensures the nursing department staff performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors </li><li>Ensures occurrence of appropriate documentation, including documentation of medical necessity, by staff in medical records, monitors completion and revisions to the Interdisciplinary Care Plan </li><li>Assists to review and evaluate risk and quality indicators, patient satisfaction results, and outcomes in order to continually improve performance and outcomes; communicates this information to the nursing department </li><li>Assures education and training is provided to nursing staff on Quality Indicators (QIs) assures timely and accurate QI assessments and scoring are performed </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of accredited registered nurse program with current licensure in the state. Bachelor's degree preferred </li><li>Current Basic Cardiac Life Support required </li><li>Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred </li><li>Minimum of two years of experience in rehabilitative or acute care setting and/or demonstrates leadership ability </li><li>Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, evaluate and direct activities of clinical personnel; effective oral and written communication skills, in English with additional languages preferred; proficiency in basic computer skills required. </li><li>Demonstrates problem solving and critical thinking skills </li></ul> <p>Hourly Range: $40.00 to $54.00 an hour</p> <p>Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute strives to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those we serve through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs.
