<p>Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree, preferred. </li><li>Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst </li><li>Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. </li><li>Commitment to remain current in content knowledge and state and federal regulations. </li><li>Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and in conformity with state licensure requirements. </li></ul> <p>Reports To: Assistant Superintendent of Pupil Personnel Services Performance Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Development of behavior plans. This includes assessing each student, collecting data, writing the plan in conjunction with teachers and school psychologists, and evaluating the effectiveness of the plan. </li><li>Development of program books in conjunction with special education staff and classroom teachers. </li><li>Responsible for maintaining and implementing behavioral strategies for students as identified by building principals or IEP teams. </li><li>Responsible for maintaining methods of data collection and analysis of data. </li><li>Responsible for writing summer progress reports in cooperation with teachers and other special education staff. </li><li>Provide supervision of home trainers. </li><li>Provide consultation to parents, teachers, paraprofessionals and home service providers. </li><li>Understanding of the characteristics of a wide range of intellectual disabilities as well as disorders such as autism spectrum disorders and traumatic brain injury. </li></ul>
