Travels to stores to perform on-site inspections, provide problem resolution for HVAC equipment malfunctions and coordinate equipment replacement for all domestic TJX chains. Contributes on all aspects of mechanical engineering of existing stores, including design, re-engineering, scope of work development, HVAC equipment & vendor sourcing and project supervision. Makes decisions related to when and how HVAC equipment should be replaced and oversees projects from start to finish. Prioritizes projects based on estimated life, cost of repairs, availability of parts, energy efficiency, lease terms, etc. equipment, BAS, roofing systems. Use HVAC experience to assist team with troubleshooting, root cause analysis and repair suggestions as required for all domestic TJX chains. Assists with the resolution of all building problems of a mechanical and technical nature that are raised from Energy Management, Energy Services and Facilities departments. Supports Manager of HVAC Engineering develop specifications for HVAC equipment and EMS systems.</p> <p>Who We Are Looking For: You.</p> <ul> <li>Key contributor for TJX's national roof top unit (RTU) replacement program </li><li>Travels to stores to perform on-site inspections, provide problem resolution for equipment malfunctions and coordinate equipment repair/replacement </li><li>Determine the condition of existing equipment to make recommendations on equipment replacements </li><li>Contributes to develop annual and long term forecast capital budgets for replacement of HVAC equipment </li><li>Assigning projects to regional HVAC install vendors and oversees projects from inception to completion </li><li>Resolves raised HVAC/mechanical issues from various Property Development partners </li><li>Provides support and guidance for HVAC vendor selection and evaluation of vendor performance </li><li>Works directly with national HVAC equipment manufactures </li><li>Contributes to develop specifications for HVAC equipment RFP/RFI </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred </li><li>3-5 years of HVAC related experience </li><li>Advanced knowledge of HVAC equipment and Building Controls systems </li><li>Strong project management skills for multi-site retail environment </li><li>Working knowledge for budget forecasting </li><li>Working knowledge of building structural requirements with regard to HVAC equipment replacement </li><li>Strong understanding of ductwork design and air side troubleshooting </li><li>Strong knowledge of reading mechanical and controls drawings </li><li>Strong communication skills (written and verbal) </li><li>Strong analytic and mechanical problem-solving skills </li><li>Agile approach, ability to multitask in a fast paced environment </li><li>Experience with national account HVAC equipment manufacturers </li><li>National multi-site vendor management experience </li><li>Microsoft 365 suite proficiency, including Excel </li><li>Experience with Service Channel platform a plus </li><li>Willingness to travel up to 20% of time as needed across the eastern portion of the US </li></ul> <p>Benefits include Associate discount; 401(k) match; medical/dental/vision; HSA; health care FSA; life insurance; short/long-term disability; paid holidays/vacation /sick/bereavement/parental leave; EAP; incentive programs for management; auto/home insurance discounts; tuition reimbursement; scholarship program; adoption/surrogacy assistance; smoking cessation; child care/cell phone discounts; pet/legal insurance; credit union; referral bonuses.
