We foster fairness and inclusivity to create a workplace environment where everyone is treated with respect and dignity.</p> <p>Behavior Paraprofessional</p> <p>Position Purpose</p> <p>Under the guidance of a Attleboro Behavior Team Behavior Specialist, assist professional staff with students in the classroom to meet academic goals and objectives and implement/model positive behavioral supports and programing.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions</p> <ul> <li>Works to support and model successful follow through of designed behavior plans for assigned student. </li><li>Works with multiple schools depending on assignment and need. </li><li>Works with students individually and in small groups. </li><li>Assists professional staff in data collection: academic and behavioral. </li><li>Assists with developing behavioral skills according to individual student needs. </li><li>Assists with individual, class, and school positive behavioral supports to develop a safe, learning environment. </li><li>Assists students in non-instructional areas, such as supervising the student lunch programs, bus duty, playground duty, corridor, and other related noninstructional areas when needed to develop behavioral skils. </li><li>Constructs, copies and distribute and use materials as needed. </li><li>Assists teacher with parent contact as requested to foster effective and participatory parent involvement in student education. </li><li>Participates in IEP process and serves as resource for the student personnel evaluation team as needed. </li><li>Follows all applicable safety rules, procedures and regulations governing the proper manner of assistance for all students. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. </li><li>Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals. </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others. </li><li>Ability to establish a supportive and compassionate relationship with students. </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work. </li><li>Ability to report work orally or in writing to supervisor as required. </li><li>Effective writing and verbal communication skills. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications Profile</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience working with students with behavioral challenges </li><li>ABA and data collection experience preferred </li><li>Safety care training preferred. </li><li>Highly Qualified </li></ul> <p>Applications will be considered when submitted via our online application system with POWERSCHOOL UNIFIED TALENT.
