<p>Job Description</p> <p>Assists Physical Therapists/Occupational Therapists with patient care and clerical support in outpatient rehabilitation.</p> <p>Job Responsibility</p> <ul> <li> <ul> <li>Assists Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists with patient bed mobility/transfers/ambulation and exercises to provide assistance to patients as required by the Therapists. </li></ul> </li><li> <p>Assists PTs/OTs with patient instruction of activities of daily living.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares hot packs, cold packs, and other treatment protocols under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapists/Occupational Therapists.</p> </li><li> <p>Measures/adjusts walkers/canes/ crutches for patients.</p> </li><li> <p>Greets patients in the waiting area and escorts them into the therapy area as necessary.</p> </li><li> <ul> <li>Maintains the therapy outpatient area: disinfects equipment, maintains linen supplies, changes linens on treatment tables following each patient use </li></ul> </li><li> <p>Maintains equipment including, but not limited to, unpacking and stocking closets with equipment, i.e canes and crutches.</p> </li><li> <ul> <li>Clerical duties include, but are not limited to: answer and direct calls, take messages, retrieve voice mail. </li></ul> </li><li> <p>Performs other clerical duties as directed by the Clinical Manager/Supervisor e.g. photocopying, mail rounds etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs related duties, as required.</p> </li><li> <p>ADA Essential Functions</p> </li></ul> <p>Job Qualification</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent, required. </li><li>Experience in physical therapy, preferred. </li><li>Knowledge of assistive devices for ambulation, patient transfer equipment (wheelchair and stretcher functions and safety), hydrocollator and CPM, required. </li><li>Additional Salary Detail </li></ul> <p>The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
