As we help people navigate the most difficult times in their lives-with compassion and respect-we ultimately empower them to take steps towards a healthier future.</p> <p>Benefits include:</p> <p>Free CEU trainings</p> <p>Competitive medical benefits including a zero-cost monthly option for employee or employee + children!</p> <p>10 paid holidays; three are exchangeable</p> <p>Flexible work schedules to support work/life balance</p> <p>Flexible work opportunities to support varying career paths, job roles, intern to hire, and locations</p> <p>401(k) with employer match option</p> <p>Employment Assistance Program (EAP)</p> <p>Mileage reimbursement</p> <p>Free licensure supervision</p> <p>Recognition and rewards</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate the values and guiding principles of OhioGuidestone every day, performing with the </li></ul> <p>highest standards of excellence, integrity and ethics.</p> <ul> <li>Provide peer-based support, encouragement, and guidance to individuals in recovery from </li></ul> <p>addiction and/or co-occurring disorders.</p> <ul> <li>Meet with clients regularly, adjusting frequency of contact based on client needs and in </li></ul> <p>consultation with a supervisor.</p> <ul> <li>Assist clients in crisis situations and provide stabilization support when needed. </li><li>Educate clients on recovery models, available resources, and pathways to long-term recovery. </li><li>Connect clients with community resources and help them build supportive sober networks. </li><li>Promote client empowerment through self-advocacy, development of life skills, and activities that </li></ul> <p>encourage independence</p> <ul> <li>Support clients in identifying barriers to recovery, setting personal recovery goals, and developing </li></ul> <p>individualized Recovery Support Plans.</p> <ul> <li>Guide clients in navigating the healthcare system and coordinating services with other providers </li></ul> <p>and agencies.</p> <ul> <li>Accompany clients to meetings, appointments, visitations, or court hearings as needed. </li><li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation, ensuring confidentiality of client information in </li></ul> <p>accordance with agency guidelines.</p> <ul> <li>Participate in required meetings, trainings, and program assessments; support compliance with </li></ul> <p>funder requirements.</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with other professionals and maintain ongoing communication with community </li></ul> <p>partners and support networks.</p> <ul> <li>Meet established productivity standards while modeling recovery, adhering to the Certified Peer </li></ul> <p>Supporter Code of Ethics, and demonstrating consistent reliability and professionalism.</p> <ul> <li>Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or </li></ul> <p>required.</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment and a culture of </li></ul> <p>belonging.</p> <ul> <li>Present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts. </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>Certification as a Peer Recovery Supporter (or ability to obtain certification in accordance with </li></ul> <p>state requirements) or Youth Peer Recovery Supporter.</p> <ul> <li>Lived experience in recovery and ability to model and promote long-term recovery. </li><li>Strong knowledge of community, county, and court resources preferred. </li><li>Prior work or volunteer experience as a Recovery Coach or in a peer support role preferred. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Mission driven; strong desire to make an impact </li><li>Effective interpersonal skills; able to speak effectively with individuals and/or groups of people </li><li>Ability to customarily and regularly exercise discretion and good professional judgment </li><li>Flexible; able to work days, evenings, and/or weekends, as desired to meet the needs of clients </li><li>Strong organizational skills; able to handle multiple priorities with strict attention to detail and perform work independently. </li><li>Ability to maintain relevant, timely documentation as required </li><li>Effective computer literacy skills, including Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic health records, etc. </li><li>Must be able to access work locations, offices, and homes as necessary, which may include ascending/descending stairs. </li><li>Possess a valid Ohio Driver's License with a safe driving record and valid insurance. </li><li>Successfully complete pre-employment screenings, including drug tests, background checks, and any other required assessments, such as a physical examination and TB test. </li></ul> <p>At OhioGuidestone we care about the health and safety of our employees. OhioGuidestone requires applicants to complete a pre-employment screening process upon receipt of an offer of employment. We require and cover the cost of a fingerprint background screening, physical, Tuberculosis test, and drug screen after an employment offer is made. Any employment offer is contingent upon receipt of all satisfactory pre-employment screenings.</p>
