Non-Certified CS/SPD Technicians receive ample support, training and education, including learning how to operate the latest, state-of-the-art processing equipment and using the newest sterilization tools and concepts.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works evenings from 2:30PM - 11:00PM.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide safe, efficient practices for decontamination, instrument assembly, wrapping and sterilization of all reprocessed instruments and distribution equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide case cart management.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate proper handling of equipment, instrumentation and chemicals.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform preventative maintenance.</p> </li><li> <p>Adhere to preventative maintenance schedules and personal protective equipment (PPE) standards during the decontamination process.</p> </li><li> <p>Scan, sort, inspect and assemble instruments by instrument list and wrap and label as documented in the procedure.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform recordkeeping functions within the electronic tracking system, including processing, sterilization and quality assurance documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Build case carts using electronic preference cards and dispatch them to appropriate locations.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School Diploma or GED</p> </li><li> <p>Sterile Processing certification (e.g., CRCST, CSPDT, CFER, or CER) is required within 18 months after hire, unless an extension is granted at the purview of leadership</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to use the computerized instrument tracking system to perform assigned duties, including obtaining instrument count sheets, special handling instructions for instrumentation, documenting sterilization loads and other tasks</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>One year of healthcare experience or a similar background in mechanical/manufacturing assembly</p> </li><li> <p>Military experience as a Hospital Corpsmen (HM), Machinery Repairman (MR), Aircraft Maintenance Technician (2A3X3), Biomedical Equipment Specialist (68A), Small Arms Repairer (91F) or similar will be considered</p> </li></ul> <p>Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
