<p>We are looking for a Credit Analyst to join our Greenville, Columbia, Florence, or Charleston Market!</p> <p>The position supports the Bank's commercial lending team by analyzing credit data and financial information of persons or companies that are applying for a commercial loan to provide the lender with a clear picture of the customers business and financial health as well as their credit worthiness and identify a risk profile. This assists the lender determine the right loan structure for the customer and the bank.</p> <p>Direct Reports: None</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Support the Bank's "client first" focus and rules of engagement-maintaining a professional demeanor, working as an active member of the credit administration team and providing clients excellent service. </li><li>Enter, update and retrieve information for the credit application from customer </li><li>Evaluates customer data and financial statements in order to determine degree of risk involved in lending to the customer </li><li>Evaluates financial status of clients by producing financial ratios through computer programs </li><li>File out the credit analysis section of the loan package and submits to Lender to complete credit underwriting and request. </li><li>Ensure that all communications with clients are positive. If problems are encountered escalate the matter to the appropriate party, and taking ownership and following up on a daily basis as necessary until conclusion. </li><li>Assists with audit responses/internal loan reviews and completion of checklists. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of various federal regulations including Bank Secrecy Act, Community Reinvestment Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Regulation E and US PATRIOT Act. </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li></li><li>Accounting </li><li>Finance </li><li>Ratio Analysis </li><li>Statistics </li><li>Risk assessment / financial statement analysis </li><li>Strong mathematical and analytical skills </li><li>Excellent PC skills (word, excel mandatory at expert level) </li><li>Understanding of federal banking loan compliance and requirements. </li></ul> <p>Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Strong "client first" interest and ability </li><li>Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively verbal and written </li><li>Sense of discretion and ability to maintain strict confidentiality </li></ul> <p>Other Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>College Degree required in finance, accounting or business </li><li>Two to three years of experience in a commercial lending environment preferred </li><li>Certifications (if not certified - expect to have associate certified in 1&2 in year 1) </li><li>National Association of Credit Risk Management NACM CCRA certification </li></ul>
