<p>Qualifications: Masters Degree in Education, Math, Science and/or /Technology preferred 3-5 years experience in education, with 3 years classroom experience preferred, or any equivalent combination of training and experience Strong interest and experience in pedagogy and innovation Experience working with diverse learners Proficient with ChromeOS, iOS (iPad), and Google Workspace for Education Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Massachusetts DESE Frameworks, specifically: Science/ Technology & Engineering Framework, Mathematics Framework, and Digital Literacy and Computer Science Framework</p> <p>Purpose: Support LPS vision & strategic goals by providing leadership & expertise in math, science & technology curricular & instructional programs Provide guidance in using technology effectively to assess student learning, differentiate instruction & provide rigorous, relevant & engaging learning experiences for students Help create hands-on activities that teach 21st Century Skills: Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving</p> <p>Performance Responsibilities: Curriculum / Instructional Program Serve as a resource to principals and grade level teams in organizing and coordinating meetings to effect horizontal and vertical continuity and articulation Provide instructional leadership on curricular programs including but not limited to Into Math, FOSS Science, Gizmos Participate in the evaluation of elementary instruction methods and programs and recommend changes/ improvements Serve on Elementary Curriculum Committee (ECC) Assessment / Using Data for Instruction: Provide guidance to utilize formative assessments, MAP & MCAS data to inform / differentiate instruction Assist teachers in using data to improve instruction and identify remediation / enrichment needs Instructional Support Perform demonstration lessons in classrooms for observation by teachers Co-teach lessons with teachers to strengthen vertical curriculum alignment & build capacity across grade levels Evaluate and integrate innovative digital tools, instructional materials, and effective teaching practices across all content areas. Inspire and support teachers to try new learning strategies and tools Support and enrich district-wide STEM programming by collaborating with educators on STEM projects and maximizing the impact of school makerspaces.</p>
