Informs and guides employees on benefits matters regarding eligibility, coverage and provisions. Maintains benefits information systems, prepares appropriate documentation, and processes necessary paperwork.</p> <p>Education and/or Experience:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree in related field required or a minimum of six years of human resources experience required</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum three years experience in Benefits Administration and/or Leave Administration required</p> </li><li> <p>Good knowledge of health/ welfare, retirement and leave benefit products, services and tools</p> </li><li> <p>Federal and state-specific leave and paid family leave laws required</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and tact</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with UKG PlanSource preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Intermediate knowledge of MS Word and Excel including vlookups and pivot tables</p> </li></ul> <p>Competencies/Skills Desired</p> <p>Benefits Program Administration, Benefits Program Compliance Filings, COBRA ACA Reporting, Health & Welfare Benefits, HR Regulatory Environment & Compliance, Open Enrollment Administration, Retirement Benefits, Vendor Management, Work Life Programs, Worker's Comp Administration, Benefits Administration Software</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Resolves complex matters pertaining to employee benefit programs, including life, health, disability insurance, medical/dependent care spending accounts, COBRA, income continuance, and paid time off as well as retirement and pension plans</p> </li><li> <p>Leads data integrity efforts to ensure compliant and efficient eligibility and enrollment data within benefit enrollment solution and with benefit vendors</p> </li><li> <p>Administers wellness programs and activities designed to improve employee health and wellbeing</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with new-hire orientations</p> </li><li> <p>Benefits vendor management</p> </li><li> <p>Creates employee communications that encourage participation in wellness activities and health screening programs</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for billing reconciliation, and timely payment of all health and welfare bills</p> </li><li> <p>Administers Retiree benefits</p> </li><li> <p>Works with Pension administrator and performs pension calculations</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in audits of benefits functions/programs/systems by providing information/access to internal/external auditors, reviewing audit results and following up on issues to ensure they are resolved</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors benefit trends in the business environment and must stay abreast of applicable benefits legislation</p> </li><li> <p>Perform system enhancements/upgrades/testing for Benefits platforms</p> </li><li> <p>*Performs other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor</p> </li></ul> <p>Benefits of Joining the Teachers Team:</p> <p>We provide a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes, but is not limited to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Paid time off for vacation, personal days, and holidays</p> </li><li> <p>Fully-funded pension plan</p> </li><li> <p>401(k) company contribution</p> </li><li> <p>Teachers pays 100% of Dental & Vision premium</p> </li><li> <p>Tuition reimbursement is offered to full-time employees</p> </li><li> <p>Exclusive employee discount of 0.96% APR on credit card loans and a 1.00% APR on all other loans through Teachers</p> </li></ul> <p>The good faith range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs.
