<p>The Food Runner is responsible for serving food orders as specified by guests in a friendly and courteous manner.</p> <p>DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Presents self in courteous and professional manner to guests at all times. </li><li>Checks orders for accuracy prior to serving to ensure food items are as guests ordered (sides, extras, etc.). </li><li>Delivers food orders with appropriate garnishments. </li><li>Delivers food orders timely and, where multiple guests involved, at the same time. </li><li>Communicates important information to guests (example: hot plate) and servers (example: guest seeking drink from bar). </li><li>Responds to guests' requests for condiments or other items. </li><li>Continually clears away dishes and debris from stations. </li><li>Has knowledge of table numbers and the physical layout of the restaurant to ensure prompt and proper service to guests. </li><li>Brings guests' inquiries regarding food allergies to the Manager's attention immediately. </li><li>Ensures station is suitable for serving and meets company standards. </li></ul> <p>SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates good judgment. </li><li>Must be pleasant, cooperative and take direction well with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. </li><li>Exhibits and uses good manners, proper personal hygiene, positive attitude, and promptness. </li><li>Must be able to perform under pressure in a high-volume restaurant setting. </li><li>Must be able to interact verbally and listen attentively to guests, co-workers, and supervisors. </li></ul>
